brenda anjali's Experience with Tao Te

10 years ago, I had a near-death experience at Dominican hospital in Santa Cruz.  As I felt myself leaving,  I  actually felt touched by the hand of god.  I then fell back into my body and it was then that I realized that God was telling me that it was not my time to leave.  The western doctors were not sure how to treat my condition, and told me that I would probably not be able to walk again as a result of this rare disease.

Since Western Medicine didn’t really offer me much of a positive outcome for my healing journey, I decided to embrace traditional Chinese medicine, which included acupuncture and herbs.  It was also during this time that “yin tuina” or the Tao Te of bodywork entered my life.  For almost 7 years, I have been receiving treatments on a regular basis.  It is the most profound, transformative modality I have ever experienced.  Old injuries and sickness have left my body, and they have been replaced with vigorous health and joy.  I consider my near-fatal illness a blessing, as it has brought this gift into my life.  I am filled with wonder and gratitude.

It is difficult to put into words the journey that Tao Te bodywork will take you on.  What comes to mind is:

            In stillness, there is movement

 In emptiness, we are filled

            With quietude we hear

In surrendering, all is revealed and made whole

Blessings abundant
